I am writing about my adult citizenship grant application.
My original application was returned because one personal identity document was missing. I corrected the package and resubmitted online on May 26, 2026, reusing my original fee receipt for $649.75.
I have since learned that the right of citizenship fee increased to $123 on March 31, 2026. My receipt is therefore $3.25 below the current $653 total for an adult applicant.
As of today, August 21, 2026, I have not received an Acknowledgement of Receipt. I contacted the Client Support Centre and was advised only to wait, and that the application may either be returned again or be subject to a request to pay the difference. No further direction was provided.
I am requesting the following:
My intent is to correct the shortfall without creating a duplicate payment or a second return. Written direction would be appreciated.

I am requesting the following:
- Confirmation of whether my resubmitted application of May 26, 2026 has been received and entered into processing, or has been returned.
- Written direction on the fee shortfall. I am prepared to pay the $3.25 difference immediately through the online payment tool and submit the updated receipt. Please confirm whether I should do this now or wait for a formal request from IRCC.
- If a request for payment has already been issued, please confirm the date and method of that request, as I have not received it.
My intent is to correct the shortfall without creating a duplicate payment or a second return. Written direction would be appreciated.
