This is where we're holding now for spouse sponsor - outland.
We've done the medical exam, paid the RPRF fee and sent in the police records as requested.
My question is, if it says they're still checking whether I'm eligible and doing background checks, why did they send me to the medical exam (which is really expensive)?
How long can expect them to keep doing their research?

Not enough info to sensibly answer your question.

What nationality is the PA?
When was your pack received originally in CPC Mississauga?
Inland or outland?
Do you have Sponsor Approval yet - if so when?
If Sponsor Approved, which visa office was it sent on to?

My wife is Israeli and we're dealing with the embassy in Tel Aviv.
I got the sponsor approval on January 20th.
We completed the medical as requested on March 13, they were received around a week and a half later.

Any other information that can be beneficial?

i think the best way is to wait , patiently :)

we don't know how they process our papers but keep the hope and faith that somehow their doing all their best to make it fast. :)

God's ways are the best ways.

maybe the answer for today is NOT YET, maybe tomorrow will be yes. or maybe he just want us to wait :)

we are all on the same boat so we just have to keep rockin' it :)

Don't know anything about Tel Aviv turnaround.

Normally I would have said 'background check in progress' is a very positive sign and often the last step before approval - often only days or weeks before final decision made.

Had you not mentioned 'background checks in progress', I would have said be patient and expect approval sometime in the summer. So I guess anytime between now and summer??

It is just that horrible waiting game for everyone!

How often is the online account updated?
Do they update it on the spot or once every 24 hours?

I still haven't received any communication through the account so I'm not really sure how it works and what to expect.

i dont think this is accurate as i got SA on March 28 and mine has said the same basically since AOR1 on march 17--- my file hasnt been transferred to mexico yet so i dont think that this is necessarily accurate sorry to say

I should have posted my question earlier.
We just got an email requesting my wife's passport!

My only question is, it says how to send my documents in Canada. What if I'm not in Canada?
Do I send it to Tel Aviv?
