This is getting weirder!!! My CRA and My Service Canada (other official Canada gov websites) are still working fine. "Technical error" only displayed on cic website...

Seems like it's only down for people trying to access from Canada.

Nope, same problem in Egypt too.. However, everyone is talking about the problem now although I have been having this problem for three days now, and I am not always getting the same error, sometimes a 404 error, sometimes the 305 error everyone is talking about, and sometimes I just get re-directed to the main page of the website.
I hope this really means that they are fixing the website since it is down due to "Maintenance".

I think it is because CIC just started to accepting the application for 'International Experience Canada' aka Working Holiday.

I can not log in using GCkey since last Thursday(I live in US), keep getting internal server error 500 until today
...
Can not even open the cic official website.

But I already received the update telling me to mail the vac my original passport and paperwork after I submited all the application online, should I go ahead and mail my passport to them?

This has nothing to do with the website being updated, IEC 2017 pools opened today so lots of people are submitting their applications at the same time and overloading the system.

That's a generic error message and easily generated from too much traffic. Have you never used a website before?

The weird thing is it seems to be working for some folks.

Hi,

After trying everything without success, I created a new GC Key, and now i am able to access my account with no problems.

I still have that error. I don't if getting a Gckey will ruin things at this stages. I will be 6 months and I am expecting my PPR anytime
