Hello everyone!I ve applied for PR under pnp.
I also applied on jan 17/2015 to extend my work permit.

I called few times to CIC and AINP, and every time both of them told me no need any support letter.
In CIC they told me to apply for LMIA Exmept stream and no need any support letter. ( i dont have aor yet)

And now what happens - I open my email and see their request to attach support letter from a province.. wtf?
How is that possible when I asked them already few times before applaying?

Please advice what to do? Seems like their agents on the phone dont help at all...
They gave me a deadline till mnarch 20. sat sun is off days so 2 days are gonna be wasted.
So irritating...

you can try to forward the email from cic to ainp and ask them for a support letter

This is for sure a mistake on behalf of CRA, but what can you do...

well, work permit is processed in a different department of cic in AB, one of criteria to apply bowp is you have to get aor from cic, but you don't have aor yet so they request a support letter from ainp, just contact ainp office for support letter and upload it online.

I ve applied for closed wp lmia exempt as they recomended me over the phone.

Hi Anatalia,

Has CIC made a decision on your application for closed work permit?

I recently received my AINP nomination and my Postgraduate work permit expires by the end of June, 2015. I also spoke with an agent at AINP office today requesting for a letter of support stating that all factors required for issuance of work permit under paragraph 204(c) as per Alberta agreement with Canada has been met but I was told my nomination document is sufficient.

Could you please advise?
