I am July 2014 Applicant and received RCMP request on Jan 29. Emailed ottawa and they replied to ignore it. Called CIC week later and the agent mentioned they do not have my documents need to contact Ottawa and provided me with their email which makes no sense, called again same answer. Called in the first week of March to update my mailing address and asked agent out of curiosity regarding my RCMP she checked and mentioned RCMP was never requested for you (weird as i still have the email), called 2 days ago from my work as i could not concentrate and finally got a nice Agent told her about my concern that i have not received Medical request, is there any problem. She looked into my file and mentioned there is nothing wrong it is normal sometimes it takes time to get medical request but i can see in your file that the RCMP we have is dated May 2014 (so they have my documents) and we are waiting for your updated RCMP as it is only valid for one year and visa officer wants to be on safer side. I already passed my deadline to submit the new RCMP and followed her instructions what to do. Sharing my experience just in case if someone is in the same situation.
