noun

Hello Everyone,

I have my AINP nomination approved December 2009 and now preparing CIC Applications and documents checklist to be send to CIC Buffalo.

Went throught their Application for Permanent Residence - Skilled Worker _ Visa Office Specific Instructions CHECKLIST. But came to know for Provincial Nominee, none of these items are required.

Education/Taining/Qualifications
Work Experience
Proof of Language PRoficiency
Arranged Employment
Settlement of Funds

Could anyone confirm this for AINP, do we need to send all these docs or not.

ANother thing whether the PCC,FBI, Birth Certificate, Marriage certificate all these can we notarized and send the photocopies or do we need to send the originals.

You are right , those docs are not needed for pROVINCIAL NOMINEES, AND the originals are required to be send for the other group of docs.

No, most of the documents need to be copy, not original. The top of page A-1 in Buffalo Checklist http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLish/pdf/kits/guides/E37048.pdf states "Do not send originals unless otherwise stated." And the copies do not need to be notarized. However, PCCs must be original.

Many thanks to Noun for starting this thread as the checklist is very hard to reach buried within the two massive threads and also there is overlap in theose threads from the FSW and other streams rather than just the CIC AINP stream.

Jasper could you confirm for one last time if this is the checlist specifically for CIC AINP ( No need of Job qual statements etc watever noun covered )

• AINP Confirmation Letter
• Checklist
• PR Application – 2 page
• Schedule 1 – 4 pages,
• Additional information -
• Schedule 4 – 1 page,
• Notarized copies of birth certificates, marriage certificate.
• Notarized copies of passports and I-797.
• Original FBI and PCC.
• Original statement from my bank for proof of funds.

One last question that I have is would the spouse need PCC certificates , FBI certificates and country PCC certificates as well. Also any guys with Indian PCC's ...could you verify if a PCC obtained from the home country instead of obtaining one from the Consulate in Usa would be equally valid to use ?.

I think it is better to send in settlement of funds however am not sure .

Advance thanks for the time and patience .

Hi lightsinthemist,

In addition to the items on your list, you'll need to submit photos and processing fee. And you do not need to submit proof of funds because you are a provincial nominee.

And your spouse will need police clearance, too. The general rule of PCC is "you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over need to obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18."

Hi staph_aureus,

Yes, I'm a Biologist and I'm currently working in US. I haven't received my PR yet, but I have been approved as Provincial Nominee (under AINP US Visa category). So I still have to go through backgroung/security check and medical exam with CIC, but if everything is fine, I'll have my PR (hopefully by the end of this year).

Hi Jasper,

I have to send my document to Buffalo under FSW3 category. I notice in the checklist of buffalo that we only need photocopied documents . only document not in english or french needs to be notarized. Is this true that we can send only photocopy of all education certificates and only original PCC and language test result.

thanks

In this thread (and other threads in this category), we discuss the application steps of Provincial Nominee cases, so it is not good idea for you to follow suggestion or advice discussed here if you are applying for FSW. For PNP cases, language proficiency, educational and work experience documents are not required (for Buffalo), so we usually say all documents except PCC can be copies, not original. But if you are applying for FSW, those documents are required and some of them must be original. For example, transcripts need to be original and work experience letter must be written on company letterhead and signed. If you read each section of Buffalo Checklist (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37048.pdf), you will find which documents need to original (if it is not specified, it can be copy).

Hi Jasper,

I applied to Buffalo under PNP (Ontario) in December '09. I have done my medicals and waiting for IA.

I saw on trackitt, that people are getting Additional document request (To send notarize copy of Birth Certificate even when they sent a photo copy of BC during application) along with IA.
I have sent them just a photocopy of my Birth Certificate. I did not attest or notarize as it was in English. Is this okie?
Should I have my BC notarized and ready?

Hi neochap,

Birth certificate in your initial application can be photocopy and does not need to be notarized if it is in English or French. And I haven't seen any case in this forum (at least recently) that Buffalo asks for notarized copy of birth certificate as additional document, so I don't think you need to worry. Anyway, notarizing documents does not take time (not like Police Clearances which take weeks to months), so you can take your birth certificate to notary service after you receive the request from Buffalo (just my suggestion).
