Hey all, just got the wife's passport with her COPR in it, we'll be landing in Kingston around mid-jan. I truly hope those that are still waiting here back soon.

That is awesome! I just got my wife's passport sent to my work! Will also be leaving in mid Jan!

P.S. Anyone experienced in traveling with your pet? We have a cat and we need to bring it in the cabin with us. (So far the only Airline that we found that allows that is Air Canada)

She did her medicals last Jan, so the visa will expire by the time Spring Festival comes. We are just happy to get the visa so no frowns here ;D

Just checked ECAS this morning In Process.

Checked Ecas just now.... - Decision Made


I assume the passport will arrive in the next couple days. It only has to travel across the city.


Unlike you folks, we are ready to go immediately. My last work day was at the end of August and we have been trying to keep busy ever since with holidays.

We are moving to Canada November 10th.

Hi, I have been posting on the May outland applicant's board but thought I would give an idea of our progress for comparative purposes.

We just received the request for passport (no reason) but assume it is a done deal. Particulars as follows:

I, the sponsor, have been married and living with my wife in China for almost 7 years.

App rec'd - May 28
AOR - Aug 11
Sponsor DM - Aug 11
AOR2 - Sep 26
Applicant In Process - Sep 29
Request Passport - Oct 14

We won't leave for Canada until late April as we are helping take care of our young granddaughter.

How far along are you in the process..? When did send your application - have there been any milestones reached. i.e., sponsorship approval, application transferred, ecas status changes, etc.? If you've passed all of these, then chances are good that you've been approved, otherwise might be a checking of data, visas, and such on your passport.

Thanks for your post. And congratulations! Helps to know now, that they will request another Medical Exam when the first one submitted has gone past its date.., having said that, I wonder if they requested another (along with PPR) because it was dated 10 months prior to your application filing date..? Just a thought.. Be interesting to know that one.

I read your profile and wonder why you didn't send medical along with application because medical was received in April ?

This means that they (Beijing VO) stated that the Medical results were received by them in April (on Ecas status) We in fact sent the Meds with our application Feb 24, 2014.

Oh my goodness, that means it took quite a while for medical result to be received by cic.

Actually my husband wanted me to do a new medical exam before we submitted but I read CIC website saying the medical is ok within 12 months so I decided to use old medical on purpose... Haha... It's proved that my husband Kevin was right.

Hopefully my new medical result won't take that long to get to Beijing. My medical appointment will be next Wednesday and we plan to send passport and medical out the same day.

Kevin and I really wish you will get good news very soon.

It shouldn't take long - I think they can fax it straight to the embassy from their office (fax number +86(10) 5139-4449) not sure if the +86 would be included if fax within Zhongguo

Hi it is a very good and thoughtful idea for the future applicants so that they can get some idea from the list.

I tried to correct the wrong date of my information but I dont know why it changed itself into the wrong order of day and month.

I am in Canada now so the medical will be done here then send to Beijing from Canada.
