No, don't panic.

I assumed "file transfer" was Sponsor Approval. There is no spot to add AOR2 (i will look for another way to put it in for clarity). I heard nothing from anyone between May 26 (Mississauga saying file transferred to Beijing) and Sep 9th (Beijing AOR2 saying we got it

Thanks for the answer. Yesterday I was ready to panic and today I just received AOR2. YaY
Maybe I should post more often then :))
I'm hoping that they will not require interview since I'm
Already in Canada/as a visitor/ that would be a long trip to Beijing.

Good luck people!

I booked Plane tickets today... It's early i know however my family really needs me to be back by mid November to look after my Grandmother and if i wait until we actually get the passport back which i hope and assume will be mid to late October I know the plane tickets will be unreasonably expensive.

Air Canada says they are also having a sale on flights for a couple more days. Here's hoping for no problems (changing the flight is only $50 + any fare difference)

Is anyone planning on taking more than 2 suitcases worth of stuff back to Canada with them? If so whats your plan?

I was thinking of sending a couple boxes of things like our summer clothes and other junk that we(her) cant imagine parting with.. My plan was to use China Post over sea but is there any better option someone has found?

You've probably noticed that Air Canada, since Oct., is now allowing 2 checked bags, 2 carry-on per passenger...

Hey guys! I just received an email about passport request by early November, since Im in Canada in visitor visa What's the best option to deliver my passport to Beijing office? DHL is an option or not? Please help ?!

Hi guys, does it mean your Permanent resident is approved if your passport is requested?

Thank you

How far along are you in the process..? When did send your application - have there been any milestones reached. i.e., sponsorship approval, application transferred, ecas status changes, etc.? If you've passed all of these, then chances are good that you've been approved, otherwise might be a checking of data, visas, and such on your passport.

Hi thank you so much for quick reply.

I just got AOR2 on Sept 27.

I don't know much about what you would need to do but i assume that is it. Seems like the only way.

Hah. Yes undoubtedly... The Canadian Embassy workers love their dual holidays in Beijing. (I would too I guess..) it actually seems like they turned up the heat on processing some applications leading up to this week off.

That's great if they only take two days off. You know Canadian Embassy in Beijing more than I do although I am from Beijing.

Thank you

Good luck to you
