that's the only change? which visa office. When did you submit you application? - no other information in the email PPR? Yours may be one of those shining examples; all the i's dotted - t's crossed :)

Ah, just saw your update - over one year past your Medical - it will be of great interest to many, to see if they require another one..

good luck with everything - hope your PPR means approved - keep us posted - thanks

Thank you again.

I will let you know if I get any further information

By the way, my husband just told me you helped him before.

Hey all. Just checked the cic website. My wife's status has been changed to decision made. We submitted her passport on the 10th of September. So should have the passport back in hand anyway I guess. Here's hoping for good news.

That's great news. I am not sure but i think its pretty unlikely they refuse many people whose passports they have requested... I am guessing 95% of the process is cleared if they get that far.

When are you planning your return to the homeland?

Guess Beijing embassy will slow down due to one week National Holiday

I think they mentioned being closed only for two days so not too bad

Hi.

We got PR early July and landed with no issues shortly after in Pearson.
Sorry for not updating as often but it has been crazy adjusting life here, learning English, finding a job.

The landing experience was nice. The officer was quite friendly and informative.
However, the logistics was not so nice. The line was long and people were asked to line somewhere only to be told to move to another room and line again to be eventually told that the first place we were lining up in was correct all along.
The interview lasted about 30 minutes but the officer was quite friendly and took the time to also tell us some basic info (such as how to get SIN and OHIP) All in all it was a smooth process (other than the lining up)

Good luck everyone.
If you have any questions let me know.

You were really lucky to get PR that fast! Five months?

Hope my application can be fast too because I really miss working.

Happy National Day to you and everyone

Hey everyone. My wife's passport was delivered this morning the 2nd but we are out of town for 5 more days due to the fact we are in my wife's hometown for her final visit Will let everyone know the final decision when we get back to Daqing. However I can't see why they would request her passport if she hasn't been approved. On a side note finally got the note I requested 7 weeks ago hahaha. Figures I get it after they've made the decision and mailed her passport back. Our application was received march 19 and the passport was delivered today so just shy of 7 months.

We plan on going back mid-January. Would love to be home for Christmas but we have a lot of stuff to do before we move back. Amazing how much stuff you get in 7 years haha. Giving ourselves to travels before heading back.

Hope everyone here's back soon. Happy National Day everyone.

Can you tell me more about the process? My wife and I intended on making a somewhat tightish flight connection in YVR and I am wondering how different the process will be compared to crossing with just a normal visa.

I strongly advice taking direct flights or connecting through Asia (ie Narita, Japan or Incheon, Korea)
The reason is that PR landing is a complicated process that takes a long time but there is no way of predicting how long it will take for whatever the reason. For example, the officer who filed our landing was quite good and took just 30 minutes. However, we spent at least 40 minutes lining up in various lines as they tried to organize themselves.

So avoid the risk of missing a connecting flight or even worse performing poorly in the interview due to nerves about catching a flight by flying direct or connecting through another Asian country.

Hope this helps

Anyone hear anything new?

I think you might be in the line up for interviews or something because it just doesn't make sense that you haven't heard anything further.. Maybe you should get an MP to ask some questions?

Hey all, just got the wife's passport with her COPR in it, we'll be landing in Kingston around mid-jan. I truly hope those that are still waiting here back soon.
