Hello good afternoon,
I’m a 26 year old Canadian Citizen. My parents are both here on work permit along with my dependent brother (18 years old). My brother was here on a visitors record but it got expired along with his passport on Feb 22 2025. I renewed his passport however I completely forgot to extend his visitors record. It’s now been more than 90 days so I’m out of restoration period too. He’s is grade 12 and trying to get admission in universities. He got accepted in Ontario Tech but while applying for a study permit they asked for a visitors record and that’s when I realized it expired in Feb 2025. When I checked on Google, it says he’s now illegal. Everyone in our family is now panicking and trying to find a solution. Pls help!!

The only option is to leave Canada and try to reenter.

Yes try to re enter i was on same situation then i go back and after 6 months out from canada now i re enter canada on same visa… if your brother have valid visa on passport then he can try re enter after 6 to 8 months out from canada
