Child Care benefits

Hello,

I am planning to land on 29th of Dec 2018, I want to ask if I apply for child care benefit (CCB), from when it will start accruing? whether, from the date of landing (December 2018) or I heard somewhere that the benefits will be calculated from the month following the landing.

I am seeking advise to really plan about my landing date whether, in the end of December or start of January.

Is your family moving to Canada permanently? You can only claim CCB if your children are in Canada and you are settling for the longterm. Finding a better flight price around the various December holidays will probably save you more money than planning your life around CTB. More hotel or rent costs as well.
