So my son will be accompanying me when I land in Canada. He has dual citizenship, and we have a citizenship certificate for him. Will there be an issue with that and his American passport traveling and landing there?

no, just make sure to show his canadian cetificate of citizenship. he has every right to enter canada and live there.

Thanks...that's what we thought, but as the time draws nearer to move, I have become more and more nervous things won't work out in the crossing...once we're there we'll get his Canadian passport and then won't have an issue!

Depending on when you are going we applied for our daughters passport and it only took 4 weeks through the London office. Not that it makes much difference and you will be fine crossing the border but one less thing to do!

Just remember that the child still have to show her/himself as American when coming into US, despite having Canadian citizenship certificate, or when Canada Passport is acquired later.
