Hi guys! i am kind of worried now. I had PPR on August 24, 2013, sent it to CHC London on the 28th and since then i got no news from them. Email sent to the VO 2 weeks ago and no reply. Visa will expire on November 19, 2013 and passports are not with me yet.
I am puzzled as to how CHC London handle situation like this. I mean, the schedule seems so tight..
Anybody with the same experience?

Hi Marcha1982,

Have your ECAS not changed also?

You can try sending them email, just bombard them with email. I didn't have the exact situation like yours when I had to email them several times but I did actually got a response from them.

We needed our passports because my sister-in-law expired and we really need to go home. So I have emailed them 2-3 times, my agency emailed them as well, left a voice mail. I don't know if it helped at all in speeding up the process but I definitely got an email just before the passports were ready for dispatch to Dubai.

All the best.. Hopefully you get your passport soon.

Thanks MapleDreamer! My condolence to you as well.

Ecas shows still "In process". That is why I don't see a clear picture of what is happening. Actually, it is my agency who emailed the VO. I just felt like I also need to do my part but unsure of what is to be done. I checked other threads too, suggesting that multiple emails to the VO will only cause the processing to slow. I can really see others get their passports in few weeks time after submission, so, the more I am getting impatient.

Can you tell me what are the chances if the passport with visa arrives after the expiration date? Will I start back to ZERO? :(

Thanks in advance..

I'm a bit puzzled as to why they have requested for your passport so late. For me, I received the request around two months after I submitted the medicals.

With regards to sending emails, I believe that me sending them emails helped a lot in getting our passport back soon. After my 2nd email I got a response saying that my husband's passport is still in process. Then I have sent them an email again after few days, then 2 days after that I got a reply saying that his visa has been stamped and that they are sending it back to Dubai. With all that the only thing I asked my agency is if they have an emergency contact number for such cases and they have only directed me to the website of CHC London (no help really because I have done that long before I have thought of asking them for the details). So what I'm saying is do not rely to them, for your peace do your part so at the end of the day you would say you have done everything you could and if it's not meant to happen then we just have to accept that.

I won't be able to say anything about your passport reaching you after the visa expires, whether you would really go back to zero. I am hoping that you will not, but what is written on the letter I've received along with my passport is that you should land in Canada before your visa expires and that it cannot be reissued and you would have to do the whole thing all over again. Which I really hope not.

I'm hoping other members in this forum can enlighten you about that.

Just pray and hope for the best..

Hi MapleDreamer.
My agency just sent follow-up email to the VO today. I hope that by this time they will reply back. I tracked the package sent from Manila and it was received by Joseph at CHC London on September 3. Also, I was informed by the agency that my passports were sent through registered mail from CHC London without mentioning the date. How can the agency know the details when he did not get any response from the VO? If it was true, how come it was sent through registered mail when I paid courier fee for the return of passports? Registered mail takes longer, 2-3 months to reach Philippines, I guess.

To answer your question about the late PPR. My family and I had our medical last year ( May 2012). My youngest son was found out with Primary Tuberculosis and we were advised to clear his case first before we can proceed to the next level. after 6 monthly check-ups and a 6 months of continuous therapy, he was finally cleared on November 19, 2012. But PPR was not requested until we had our medical expired (Mine, my husband and my eldest son). So, We were again issued medical forms for the re-assessment on July 2013 and completed it on the same month. It was on August that we had our passports requested. Knowing that my youngest son was cleared on November 19, so, it is also expiration date of our visas.

I wish that I will be getting positive response soon, as I have gone all the difficulties from medical to this point. Indeed, sharing experiences helps a lot. Somehow, the tension, bit reducing though after a while it all comes back.

A million thanks to you MapleDreamer!

Hi Kimmigration!Congratulations!

I am also waiting for my passports to be returned. I am sure yours is on the way back to you now. Good thing that you had feedback about what is going on. mine is kind of worrisome.it's my 7th week of waiting without any changes in ECAS.

Best of luck! just keep us posted

Thank you dude.

I hope that it is in the way... be patient and don't stop nagging, believe me this is the only way to get results in this stage.

wish you all the best.

Hello Everyone!

I just got reply from VO. It says " Your passports are still at London Office. We have sent an email to our colleagues in Manila for the extension of the validity of your visas. Once we have the response, we will print your visas and send it to your mailing address."

At least, I can breath now. The past few weeks were all like "questions marks". But now, it turns out that I can't plan for the flight schedule to Toronto. As I still have to wait for the extension period and most importantly wait for the passports to be returned.
