Yes, they are scanning the original documents and returning them ... standard procedure ... but they may ask for the originals later on so your lawyer or your wife must hold onto them tight.

I didn't yet but MP indicated that my wife will be scheduled for an interview so I should look out for a letter from embassy.

Members who have sent proof voluntarily, did you send it via email (or DMP portal) and/or physical mail (courier). If courier what address did you send it to?

kman, I used to send Islamabad my additional documents through their ISBADIMMIGRATION@INTERNATIONAL.GC.CA email and they used to attach it (I never used the DMP Portal Site). After my file was transferred to London, I used both their LDNIMMIGRATION email as well as the DMP Portal ... mainly because when I sent my last proofs from LDNIMMIGRATION email I never received their auto-reply ... then I re-sent those documents thru the DMP Portal and received the auto-reply.

In conclusion, try both methods AS LONG as you get their auto-reply ... because if you don't it means the email you sent them didn't reach their inbox. Personal experience. Hope this helps and best wishes for your PP1 and PP2.

Experienced members can answer this question but my understanding is this is required from the principal applicant (your spouse) and any dependents (children).

Well Mr. shakeel, at the end of the day. Take your case, if it approves quickly (which i hope it does) your spouse is off to Canada all is well. However, if for some odd reason it lingers on, than maybe come back into the boundaries and see the mysteries of CHC.

Exactly there is not a rule which says Female cases faster than male. But Sir you should check the track history of case processing timings of male and female cases and you will come to know the ratio of time. Its not me is saying this thing its a track record which tells us about all.

And some people who,s cases have gone over limit of time they might have 2nd marriage. which off course is very normal. Its mean there are some rules and regulations apply on the kind of case. I appreciate your seniority on this form but at some cases you have to think beyond the boundary
as CIC Visa officers do .
So there is no myth has been created there is reality behind this myth. Good day
