Anyhow,

1) As we all know most files have been transfered to London.
2) London is in charge of doing initial processing. (eligibility, security, correspondance)
3) Visa will be stamped in CHC (the sending passport aboard myth out the window)
4) CHC-Islamabad don't know why files were sent to London, orders came from higher authority (even he didn't know why; workload was an excuse)
5) Files sent to London doesn't automatically mean its 11 months neither 32 months (he says as long as it takes VO to be satisfied)
6) Don't to go the embassy enquirying about your file, Canada won't tell you jack! (Canada privacy act, whatever that means)

well you see, canadian citizenship certificate takes approx 6-8 months (maybe a bit longer in pakistan because chc sends the forms to canada for process). Its always good to have the child's passport. If by chance your wife gets visa, atleast your child will be ready for travel. If you only apply for the certificate, then you will have to apply for passport later and just make the waiting game longer than it already is. Though, the final decision is yours.

You can send an official enquiry after 32 months (unfortunately) because apparently that is their time limit and are allowed to take that much time. However, did you ever try ordering notes to verify the progress of your file?...

Did you ever order GCM notes if so what does it says any comments written from immigration Officer. Is it a Nikkah only case?
Do you guys have children together?
Any significant age difference between you and your spouse?
What i can sense is something really bad going on higher up. Hopefully i am wrong, but it doesnt shows
any seriousness from CIC's higher authorities as family reunion is their priority atleast not if you were born
in this region. I have asked the CIC Minister to just amend the law that states any body with this race is
lesser citizen and should not expect the same rights.
Well dont give up guys keep writing to the Prime minister's office and other opposition leader. If possible send
them post mails.
Lets see how long does this insanity lasts. This is just cruel.

1. It is your right to ask the status of you case.
2. Why to ask?
a.It might be possible they sent you some request as additional document which you did not receive?
In this case they might be waiting for you reply but you are not aware of that.
b. You are not interested due to some xyz etc. and ............................
c. People like you ask Visa officer to hold cases to show there is lot of work on your case.
