I have one more question regarding the application process. When will CIC return the orignal educational documents ?

Will they return the documents after stage 1 or will they keep them by the end of the application process?

Recently [reported by 2013 applicants mostly] they are sending back originals after 1st stage. I don't know about others but personally the only original document an applicant might need during the process will be there education docs. But one can always get some copies made and notarized before submitting the application.

Thanks for your response . My wife would be needing her educational documents as she is planning to get registered for few courses/examinations.
Feedback from other members would also be appreciated.

Also one more question if others can shed light on it. I have heard that the processing of spousal sponsorship application files are more faster for Canadian citizens than permanent residents? Is it true?

hey guys i need some help,
I am in the process of sponsoring my wife. Islamabad embassy is requesting "certified" photocopies of her passport cnic card etc etc.
My question is how to get them certified? is it same as getting them attested?

any help will be greatly appreciated

By getting them notarized by a lawyer that they are originals would be the best way but make sure he is one who has the official notarized stamp.

can a local magistrate do that too??
what does he has to write on it???
“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
write the name of original document for example if it is cnic write cnic if it is a passport write passport.
date of certification.
magistrate name.
his official title.
his signature.???

Yes to all your questions. What they normally do is make a photo copy of the originals and attest its truth sign and stamp it with their seal. I hope this helps In Sha Allah. But you can always call the call centre in Canada to verify all this to make sure. CIC call centre 1-888-242-2100.

Alhumdolliah received nikkah naama, wife's birth certificate, and education documents in the mail today from Ottawa. I've been reading back trying to figure out what this means, but I guess all it means is that they're working on my file as they have been for the last year

Plse help: Telephone marriage

Hi

My name is Mohammed. I am working as Designer in Canada.I applied CEC ON 22nd June 2013 got AOR.

I am from India and I want to get married to my gf in pakistan. As everybody know how tough is India Pakistan visa can i do Phone Marriage as phone marriage is legal in pakistan and add my GF in CEC?By doing phone marriage my gf will get marriage certificate and they will send it here to sign it and then she can apply for new passport with my name.

I donot know how to proceed.I am thinking if i get my PR and want to sponser her waiting time is 24 months may be more.I donot want to wait as we already being engaged from 3 years.

So please tell me its TOUGH to prove Phone marriage authantic or not. I know peaple who did phone marriage from pakistan to sponser their wife to canada.
