Hi

My name is Mohammed. I am working as Designer in Canada.I applied CEC ON 22nd June 2013 got AOR.

I am from India and I want to get married to my gf in pakistan. As everybody know how tough is India Pakistan visa can i do Phone Marriage as phone marriage is legal in pakistan and add my GF in CEC?By doing phone marriage my gf will get marriage certificate and they will send it here to sign it and then she can apply for new passport with my name.

I donot know how to proceed.I am thinking if i get my PR and want to sponser her waiting time is 24 months may be more.I donot want to wait as we already being engaged from 3 years.

So please tell me its TOUGH to prove Phone marriage authantic or not. I know peaple who did phone marriage from pakistan to sponser their wife to canada.

its pretty tough to prove a "normal" marriage let alone phone. I think you should visit Pakistan if you are serious about your wedding. or else its going to be really hard for you.

I received the approval letter from CIC Mississauga a few days ago and it says the application has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing. Address for any queries is ISB HC of Canada.

Is it really ISB or it goes to Ottawa first??

Its the Foreign workers who are abroad who are on strike and Canadian Government not going back to Parliament until October

It goes to Ottawa CIC misleading us they say in email that file transferred abroad but it not its in Ottawa. I got same email that my file transferred to Islamabad on may 17 but after I email Ottawa on July 29 they said its in Ottawa still.
