Dear all finally I got below reply from OTTAWA office, it is just unfair that my file is still in OTTAWA after almost 9 months has anyone else received this reply for the below inquiry?

Good day,

Your file is being processed by the visa office in Islamabad.

It is part of a work sharing arrangement Ottawa has with Islamabad. While our office has part of your physical file, your application will be processed by an officer in Islamabad, according to the processing times of the Islamabad office. An agent from that office will contact you when more information is necessary.

What makes you say CIC ISB is processing fast ????

By looking up the timeline whom file got transferred to ISB in 2011. they are getting PPR and re medicals. but here nothing

same here...God knows wat Ottawa is planning to do but watever they are doing is seriously not even funny.....we both share sumwhat same timeline....did u get any letter after AOR??

I was really hoping i will stay away from here and come back to see some good news ..but its getting more drepessing. Jan & feb applicants still waiting...oh dear

An indian co-worker of mine got married in december 2012 and applied in January 2013 and already gotten a passport request, whereas i dont even know where my file is :s

I guess we're getting punished for being pakistanis....longs waiting times..high calling card rates...high TPR refusal rates.....whats next...

and our pakistani foreign office does absolute nothing to support pakistanis abroad...YA Allah help us..

Statistics for India vs Pakistan spousal acceptance for the past few years (2010 and on. Based on approx data obtained, created by students in UQAM)

Within 4 months:
Pakistan- 0.0%
India 30%

Within 6 months
Pakistan- 7%
India-45%

within 10 months
Pakistan- 13%
India-20%

within 14 months:
Pakistan- 15%
India- 3%

Within 18 months:
Pakistan: 25%
India: 1.5%

within 24 months:
Pakistan: 30%
India: 0.5%

Within 28 months:
Pakistan: 5%
India: N/A

Within 32 months
Pakistan: 3.5%
India: N/A

Within 36 months
Pakistan: 1.5%
India: N/A

Data is not as accurate as Government stats obviously. It was done by QM students for a statistics class. (students were "Desi"). Point being show in reality was the difference in timings of acceptance that's it.

Confused!!!

So near the end of February under Sponsor our status changed from decision made to in-process, yet now it has gone back to decision made.

Does anyone know why they would have changed it to in-process to only change it to decision made yet again?!

Hi guys, I would like to take some initiative and would like the help from all of the forum members.

First of all, I need some suggestion from you-all, as what can we do on our end to improve the processing time (At least make CIC hear our voice). We all have genuine application for our spouses. If I can recall correctly it use to take only 6~8 months to sponsor your spouse from Pakistan, until 2008. What is the cause in sudden time increase?

I my self live in Toronto and as we all know that Jason Kenny’s Constituency Office is in Calgary (The address is posted below), I suggest that all of our fellow members who lives in Alberta, should go to Jason Kenny’s Constituency Office and present him a signed application to improve the time line. As for people else where in Canada can send an email/fax with his or her pledge.

Lets all do something, As we have all head that "It only need one person to make the difference".

AOA everyone! so after one month i got reply from ministries... i had emailed them a complain saying that y my file was transferred to ottawa with 5 months delay and why my start date is from oct 2012 instead of may 2012. i received approval may 2012 and got to know from my MP that file was transferred to ottawa in oct 2012 and MP and call centre agent told me that i should count my time from oct 2012 instead of may 2012. so the ministry replied me that according to their records my file was transferred to isb in may 2012. and i shld count my time from may 2012....... so a big confusion... MP and call centre says ur file is in ottawa and minister of immigration replied that its in isb and processing time is 28 months... i dnt knw wt cic is doin with Pakistanis...

Thats really nice. We should also utilize other forums as well to create moral pressure and raise our voice including pak embassy in vancouver and toronto, pak overseas minister,pak as well as canadian news channels, journalists,human rights commission and opposition ministers in cananda by sending qualitative drafts.

Twinkle, this issue is you won't really understand the situation of what CHC/Ottawa is doing. The more you ask question the more they will confuse you. I tried to clarify about my file, but I felt that they just kept me circling around the same issue. Finally, I just said, visa will come when I comes InshAllah. They won't tell you the truth. We are treated like criminals and will have to eat our sentence.
