Yea , in january 8th my papers got approved and sent to the chc inslamad, till now no response :-(

Ok so finally got an email from Ottawa office...


Dear Madam / Sir,

This is in response to your email (see below).
Your application is in process. No further action is required by you at this time.
An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth and file number.

So my file is indeed in Ottawa!! Don't know whether it's a good or a bad thing but anyhow at least I got to know the whereabouts abt my file! Shukar Alhamdulilah!

Now the thing is that I've sent a letter to chc guys abt updating my mailing address. N I checked through tcs tracking...the letter was received by Danish. So should I let it be n hope that they must've updated my mailing address or should I send the same letter to Ottawa guys too? I'm still not able to check on Ecas through my application number....hence can't check if they have updated it or not

Lucky you! Since it says "in response to your email" did you email them to enquire and if so to what email address exactly? I filed Nov 2011 and I was told by my MP that it's in Ottawa, but that's been months now...did it update on E-cas for you or did you enquire about it?

Hi, my sponsorship papers were received in Missisauga on March 27th, 2013. Havent heard anything yet. Another friend applied in end of January 2013, got his AOR in two weeks and the approval in another 2 weeks. Online status shows they are still working on applications received on March 13, 2013. Allah karay jaldi ho jayie !!

Im a Afghan-Canadian and I sponsored my wife who lives in Afghanistan on July of 2012! In August of 2012 I received this letter:

Dear MUSHTABA :
This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on
behalf of K******.
You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.
Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding the
Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s), you may contact the visa office by e-mail,
fax, or in writing as follows:
Islamabad
High Commission of Canada

My question is that I have not received anything after this, witch has been 9 months now! Is this normal? Please any info will help! Thank You

As my earlier post indicates sponsoring my wife from Afghanistan, approved in July,16/2012 but I haven't heard anything new since. CAN someone help me on how I can send a "GCM" to see where my file stands, Please any help would be appreciated!
