All of you people wodering where your files are, the physical application package stays in Ottawa but is scanned and sent to Islamabad electronically. This is why they ask you to send any additional information to Ottawa and not to Islamabad so the waiting time is still 28months NOT 12 months : :

but 28 months is max eh. inshAllah 2012 cases will be getting their PPR soon cuz almost all 2011 cases are finalized except for nov and dec.. and inshAllah if we all have straight forward cases we will be done soon

I have a question the CIC ISL asked my hubby to send more documents in oct 2011. And know I'm going to send my boarding pass and more pic that I went to visit him and all the phone history. So should I send to ISL or Ottawa???

I wanna say send it to Ottawa, but email the Ottawa office first to make sure. If would even just scan all the documents before sending them and email it to them as well. I know from previous posts that Islamabad office takes about 2-3 months to reply to email inquiries :/

What I was thinking that I should send it to ISL cuz I know that my file is there. Because they asked my hubby to submit more documents to ISL in oct 2011. And one more thing should I ask my MP to send a letter as well to see whats going on with my file, while I'm sending my boarding passes and phone history.

Is that possible after election if we have a new government then the timeline might get less cuz it was 1 year in 2007-2008.

or maybe elections will increase timeline...as in 2009 flood increase timeline ,,that time timeline jump from 12 months to 26 months

I apply for my wife case in aug 2012 it was a nikkah case i came back from pakistan last week was there for 2 months now i have completed rukhsati my question for members here should i send them additional prove that rukhsati completed or should i wait for cic respnece. AOR got in email that file is in islamabad.

please advice

yes you should send them extra proof, they woudnt open your file for next couple of months, so u have a bit of time to compile everything properly, also attach your boarding pass n ticket to show you have come back to canada. dont wait for them to ask for anything as it will add a couple of months to your process, you want the additional proofs to be attached to your file by the tim ethey open it, n not when they open it n ask u for additional documents n put ur file on a bfd for stuff u already have compiled.

my husband is sponsoring me. He left his last job in Oct 2011 and since then is unemployed. He was in pakistan from nov 2011 and returned to canada in jul 2012. our families met later and he came back for marriage in dec 2012. He returned after marriage. Current status unemployed. He is looking for a job. Should we file the application after he gets a job or go ahead with it?

since there is no minimum income requirement to sponsor your spouse i suggest you file your application asap, as you never know how much more rules they have changed by the time he gets a job n u guys complete your papers n file the application. from experience and this forum i have learned tht it takes a while to fill out the forms and get your application ready, i suggest u guys start working on tht, n leave the parts on the questionaire about employment, if he hasnt gotten a job till then, just write unemployment n send the documents, but maybe by any luck he gets his job real soon you guys can just fill in the latest details
