Can anyone please guide me how long is it taking for spousal sponsorship these days ? Website says 32 months,what is the real scenario ? My husband is a PR in Canada ,waiting for his citizenship (took the citizenship test ). I am based in Karachi married(with rukhsati) for 6 months .I am a government employee ,does CIC have any reservations with Pakistani government employees?

He is going to apply in a week or so. Just wanted to know how long will I have to wait ?

Mother is PR with Pakistani passport.
Baby born in Canda.
Father Canadian citizen with NICOP.

Walaikum Assalam,
First step approval for sponsor is ~50 days and then transferred to London visa office which is working very steadily [compared to ISB office in the past] and most cases are expected to be done in about a year. But this is not the official timeline just what we have seen here in the past 6-9 months.
Nothing against government employee.

Hi there, he just needs canadian passport and NICOP /pakistani passport... or you can apply for pakistani visa on his canadian passport thats pretty easy too ...
but my suggestion dont ruin his canadian passport with an entry stamp in pakistan and get a NICOP and passport first its pretty much saves you and your son will thank you for doing this in coming years... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Does anyone have any idea how long does it take for the medical results to be assessed at the London Visa Office? My wife did hers on the 10th of July and a Passport request came alongside with it. I'm so confused and anxious at the same time.

There isn't any "assessment" involved, the medical examiner states whether any abnormality was found or not. If there isn't then its all clear.

But there is no update on the ECAS file. It's been more than 2 weeks. Does it take that much time?
