canadian immigration I was lookign at your timeline and you filed your case in Oct. and you got PPR this Dec, was your case filed through a lawyer or were there any special circumstances?? MashAllah you got PPR very quick.. I applied in Mar 2011 meds in June and my hubby is still waiting for PPR

By the Grace & Blessing of Almighty ,My case processing is smooth so far. I am really really thankful to Allah and pray for all those who are waiting for Good news especially for old cases.
Yes I filed my case through lawyer but only for filling forms and sending them to CIC ,after that i handle my case by myself with the help of this forum .This forum gives me a lot of help and guidance for responding ADD docs requests.For this i m very grateful to the forum members.
There is not special circumstances concerning my case processing.

I just wanted to share my timeline with you guys
but it doesn't give me that option.

At the moment u cannot add ur timeline ,you have to post 20 posts (i guess) on this forum to enable timeline option in ur account.
However there is another way to go for this
1.Click on profile on top of the page
2.then on right pane click on "FORUM PROFILE INFORMATION" and u can add ur timeline in "SIGNATURE" field.
I hope u will get it.

My timeline is close to yours. I sponsored my husband
on oct. 2011 and got supplementary forms and re-med oct.2012
ever since then haven't heard anything from them.
I am looking forward to a good news sometimes late February or March

My question to everyone here is:
my husband got to do his re-med and supplementary form
but he wasn't asked to do a police clearance certificate for this year.
is that normal?

Yes it is normal, Even in my case they never asked for RePCC from me.
Actually i think it depends upon a lot factors like "travel history "," Residential history"," applicant's type of occupation","Education","Current city" details of activities since age of 18 etc etc.
If applicant is residing at same address since a long period then they usually not ask for RePCC.

As ur husband did Remed in Oct so hopefully he will get PPR anytime between 2 to 5 months time span.

His current status says.

"We received your application for permanent residence on June 9, 2011.

Medical results have been received."

My current question is, does anyone know what month/year they are working on currently or a rough estimate?

I inquired through my area MP and my lawyer back in November 2012, at the time they said they were working on November 2011 files. i believe they are starting towards January 2012 files by now. Mine is a January 2012 case and they told me to wait couple of months and i should hear something from Them. So here i am still waiting.

My wife's application was sent in February 2011, and we got our visa first week of January 2013.
