Hi,

His background checks are not done yet as they asked for an updated PCC. They will conduct background checks on your husband once they receive a fresh PCC. Once his background checks are over, which can take from 3-6 months, then they will ask for Passport.

is it necessary to get a re pcc ... i didnt get it, got only additional forms request and then re medical... i thought they are already conducting my background checks,,, but if they require re pcc its not even started then

Danny bro my husband was asked for PCC in march along with IMM/Supp forms and then re-medical in June. His file is currently undergoing back-ground checks, do you think they will ask him for PCC again? as all these other cases are being asked for PCC after re-medical even??

today i receivd a call frm chc...i was sleeping....my cell phn was silent...aftr trying my cell phn thy tried my landline...da lady was too polite...thy wanted to confirm my mailing adress...i askd her whn will i get my pasport back...she said hopefully in dis week....n tld me not to keep my phn on silent mode...lol...i sent my pasport last monday....

They ask for a Re-PCC mostly in husband cases. They did background check on my wife even before reviewing the application, so if you are a wife being sponsored then you don't need to worry. Also, never ever send PCC voluntraily after your application has been reviewed once. It gives them a chance to conduct another background check and take more time for overall processing.

My wife got a request for PCC ..so not sure what you are claiming is the correct info...dear . :-X

before they ask PCC from u, better u send them

they say not to send anything if its not asked for... additional proof is a different thing but a re pcc , i dont think so... to attach it to my file and then review it would add more time to it.. better to provide only what is asked for... and nothing would work before time.. better to wait and pray only to make things easier... u should be all relaxed, you ll be asked for passport only now inshaAllah...

I don't think they will ask your husband for another PCC. They have asked for one already and its valid for 6 months from the time its issued by the Police. Also, it depends on the district it was issued from. Some districts have the PCC valid only for 3 months, some have it valid for 6 and some for a whole year.

People who are being asked for PCC after Re-medical did't get the request with IMM/Supp forms as they were not required in most cases (application was reviewed within one year, so forms were valid when they were reviewed).

yup wife case.. i hope its ppr only now... if i see the time periods, its just 12 months to my application though... i saw urs , its 17 months .. dont know what to expect seriously !!!

Also, it depends on the district it was issued from. Some districts have the PCC valid only for 3 months, some have it valid for 6 and some for a whole year.

All the cases are not the same due to several factors. Your wife's PCC must have been expired when the application was reviewed, thus you can't compare all cases as they are not the same.

I submitted a PCC for my wife along with additonal proof of relationship 6 months after the application was filed. So when they reviewed my wife's file, the PCC was valid. Also, it depends on your immigration officer as well, he can choose to conduct background checks and he can waived them if he wants. Also, most wife cases go through security check and are waived criminality check.
