Well it is anyone's guess when your wife will receive re-medical request. My wife's medical expired in December 2011, and she received re-medical request in July 2012 And don't bother with MP's especially if they are from the conservative party. They will ask you to wait till the average processing time of 26 months has elapsed before they can express any hint of care. Best they can do is get you the same generic response as what you will get if you send an e-mail to CHC. I would recommend that you order GCMS notes at your earliest convenience... you will probably receive them in 30 - 45 days.

I applied for my wife's sponsorship on Nov 7, 2011 and my file was transferred to CHC-I on Jan 15, 2012. My wife's medical is gonna expire on Oct 22nd. How much time is now generally taken by CHC-I to at-least start off with the case? Even, as of today, the e-case status is simply showing 'Application Received'. They haven't yet picked up our case. Any idea of the range of time for wife's sponsorship cases these days? While, browsing through the pages, I have got an idea that PPR is taking 12 to 15 months (+ few months until you receive passport - unless you are lucky to get it sooner) after the file is transferred. Need your comments, friends.

you can see in my time line for getting idea, by the way my wife medical alread expier back in Aug, 4th and no remedical yet. but we recived AOR from Chc Isl after almost 8 month from file Trans.. to them.

the question is why do.you want to send your passport, if visa office asked your passport then they would have asked the required docs in the letter

Your guess is about right. Expect anywhere from 12 to 18 months for a wife's case to be fully processed. Yesterday, I stepped into the 20th-month of the process I'm expecting the journey to end before the end of this month... so all in all, it would take 20 months in total for my application.

how the hell does that work, they go in reverse order? June and July come before August. Man, Pakistan has everything in reverse. They go from having good water to dirty water, electricity to partial electricity, gas to no gas on few days...whats next? cars to horses?

i don’t know about the rest of the stuff that you said but

Assalam-o-Alaikum,
Just wanted to share an update. My husband did re-medical on july 17 ,2012 nd sent pp on July 18, 2012, but no update on online status. I contacted my MP last week on friday and he told me that he will contact CHC-I.Today, I received a response which is really stressing. for me it's hard to believe tht CHC- I didn't even receive medical results
Below is the reply from MP

"We have received the following response from Islamabad:

Thank you for your e-mail below. This application is currently in process and is in queue to be reviewed by an immigration officer. Currently, we await medical examination results for the medical letter that was sent out on 07 July 2012.

A copy of this message has already been mailed to you.


If your husband has not yet received the medical examination request letter, please provide me with his mailing address, so we can request that the letter be resent."

oh great...maybe that is the issue with my wife's case too...ill order gcms notes today and maybe contact my mp to ask them to get an update. This is so *censored word*ing stupid. Garbage slow Pakistan. Pakistan should just go sell itself to India, at least they're progressing forwards.

but with all due respect this is not a nice thing to say about the country that gave us life and made us what most of us are
i can only speak for myself when i say pakistan gave me what i have and made me what i am today
i would not want to sell myself to anyone just to get a visa few months earlier

Besides if someone is willing to sell something as sacred as their own MOTHERLAND then i personally think that person does not need to go anywhere they can have a great life anywhere in the world

i am sorry if my comments hurt anyone ....... that’s just my thinking...... and what do i know..... i was not even born in pakistan i just lived there for a better part of my youth......... but still i cant help loving that country

use tcs
send it on the address that they give you on the letter
off course put the passport in envelope
its always a good idea to put the copy of the latter that they sent you with the passport

why everyone is sooooo depressed on this thread... c'mon guys atleast you handed out your passports to them and just waiting for visa... thats the last thing...
think about the ppl who are in interview queue for last couple of months and dont know when they will be scheduled for interview.... Thank to God..HE saved you from that torture...
i know its hard to wait for your spouse but we are not able to do anything but only pray... so keeep praying hard and Allah will make this process easy for you InshaAllah! and believe theres always something good behind everything.... think about it! :

Your husband is right. Thats what i ve told my husband. U wont get a vacations like this ever. Life is canada is busy so enjoy at ur fullest.
