CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

Still looking for some input

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted some opinions...my wife has her remed today and will be sending in the Passport tomorrow to CHC-I...considering the overall speed from my timeline, what's the chance of having it back by mid-late August?

I'm visiting my wife soon, that was pre-planned and I didn't even dream of PPR already, what do the seniors think of adding a letter that explains that I'm coming anyways on vacation and it would be ideal from every standpoint that I can take her back to Canada this time? Wouldn't hurt right? To explain circumstance and ask for some consideration?

Jul2011 Apply
Sep2011 Transfer
June 2012 In Process
July 2012 Remed/PPR

According to my knowledge, Sponsor ( Canadian Permanent Resident) Have to be physically present in Canada , at the time of sponsoring ( When Application is being evaluated for eligibility as a sponsor) and at the time of Stamping. But it's better to have second opinion by starting a new specific thread and you will get the appropriate guideline from Leon or PMM. Second i am not sure if it is same for the Canadian Citizens. Please Make sure before leaving bec it's better to not take any risk at this point.

You're not alone, ours also shows just application received. Did they ask u for additional info? updated forms? For us they're still waiting to receive nika nama and repcc, I'm guessing thats why ours isn't in process yet. Plus, from what I've been told earlier, medical results take almost 20-30 days to get to the visa office.

Alhamdulilah Alhamdulilah Alhamdulilah...my husband got his passport back with visa stamped today. He just received the parcel from TCS.

It was a husband case. I sponsored my husband in Jan 2011, the timeline is as follows:

Application filled: Jan 2011
File reached ISB: Feb 2011
Re-Pcc and supplementary forms: March 2012
Re-medical: June 6 2012
Passport request: July 9 2012
Sent Passport on July 12 2012
Received Passport back on July 20 2012 (exactly after one week from passport sent date)

Thanks to Allah we are done with the process. I hope everyone receives good news soon INSHALLAH.

Yes as far as what the instructions say, you have to send the original. Original with certified English translation.

If you are a Muslim, then I seriously suggest you do Istikhara. If you want best solution, it should be one that is not only good for this world but for the hereafter. And there is a verse in the Quran which speaks about how you may not like a thing but that it is good for you and yet you may like a thing but it is bad for you.

You should share your true feelings with that person face to face. It may hurt them, but the pain will be a lot less than for them to build that bond with you and then you cut off the relationship afterwards. Besides that, its just a engagement right now, would you rather tell her your true feelings after having consummated marriage? Which would be worse for her (especially if she is a South Asian girl).

Thanks and your totally right, but the way she committed to the relationship and I hard from other people, it's extremely hard for her there.. I am thinking that if she comes here than I will tell everything, this way she will be in country where no one can say things to her.... May be after year or two she will find her own way in this country...

yup i was asked for additional forms and info on june 11 and i got it on june 22.. i sent my stuff on june 29.. i didnt get any re pcc.. and then on july 13 i got re medical and still its application received, i guess it would change when they ll receive my medical.. i called IOM for the tracking number but they said they dont have that facility but they assured me they have sent my reports to New Delhi and confirmed through asking my passport number and they said they have sent it through DHL so i should be relaxed as DHL is the best courier service available .. lets see all i can do now is wait and pray... i hope i get my passport request and i'll be with my husband in Canada on Eid :d Eid Ul Fitr .. InshaAllah
