its oct 4 today and no hope of getting PPR
when remedical was done in june i thought my hubby will be here soon as the next step would be ppr but no ppr for last 4 months... i wonder if the process will be completed within this year or not
none of june jul aug remedical ppl got PPR in last 4 months.... it is really disappointing..
even though ppl who sent their passports are still waiting for visa..... brutal

hello dear forum members...
i have a very good news to share that finally my wife got her visa and landed to Canada..
due to my busy routine i was really unable to share each step of immigration process going on..
i am sharing with you guys my whole timeline and dates of each step which might help you guys to understand and estimate your processing times..although each case got its own nature but still we can build hopes...
Application filed : May 2011
File Transferred: June 2011
Documents Request: 15th May, 2012
Re-medical Request: 25th May, 2012
Passport Request: 11th August, 2012
Visa Issued: 17th September, 2012
Landed: 28th September
the whole process took 16 months...it was the most difficult time..but with Allah's blessing we went through it and finally the wait is over..
I wish every member here best of luck ....this forum had been a great guidance for me n my wife..I am really thankful to all those who shared their valuable experiences...!!!!

they might be doing background check, ppl that get remed n then ppr have background check conduct after medical is received....

you are right but they take forever for background checks...

for guys yeah it take from about 3 months-1 year depends on history of travel work n education....

but also faith wen its ur turn u will get it,
Allah swt Has better Plans then us. There is a great reward for us wen we get our visa n our spouses land n reach us insha'allah.

i am also waiting for my PP .
they have to send back our pp with visa's soooooon.

and my remedical ws conducted in april n no PR ,, file is still under background checking,, this october its been 26 months since my case is filed

wife got response that her pkg has been received by CHC. Lets see how much longer from here. They said to send extra pics & video and we'll then make our decision.

that doesn't sound right.. I just checked the skype website and it says the rate is 14.5 cents. How are you getting the 1 cent per min rate??

actually, when i said 1c/min, it wasnt frm skype, it was on gmail, and not to call pak but to call canada from a pakistani PC. I used to call my wife when she was in canada all the time from my PC and its 1c (US)/ min. thats for ppl who have gmail acct, they give an option of call phones, right on the main page bottom right side. just shARing my experience

Yes, Skype is best, specialy these days.
my wife had re-med last month, how long it takes to get PPR.

i got remed plus ppr together, so not sure myself either. chc is really unpredictable anyways
