true. for the full driving license it takes more, not just one year

No it's not more than a year. I just got my G1 license within a week and now I will get the G2 license as soon as I give road test. It's not one year process. It's all upto you? But u have minimum one year driving experience in some country

No I don't have to wait as I have more than 1 year driving experience in Pakistan. I showed my Pakistani license to Them thats why I can give G2

after G1 wait 1 year to do the G1 road test to get your G2 license. If you have driving school certificate then you can take G1 Road test in 8 months.
after you get you G2, you have to wait 1 year before you can take your G2 Road test to get your full G license.

and for those who come from back home and they have experience obviously they don;t have to go through all this cuz they know how to drive.

Dear sabbi plz add me in this list also, cuz i am also done with remedical in july 27,2012. And still waiting for ppr.
My online status is "in process" since july 07. There is no online update after remedical.

We have not heard anything since May when CHC Islamabad asked for re pcc, IMM froms, photos of my subsequent visit to my wife and certain originals. we sent everything requested. We were hoping remedical request soon but it is quiet since than.

Though my wife is here with me in canada on visitor visa but we bothare very frustrated and concerned. I need some advice on how to contact and get information on our application status. The application was transferred to Islamabad in June 2011 and online status still shows "Application Recieved" Should I write them email asking for information? Or should I just go ahead and request GCMS notes.
Please folks, will highly appreciate anyone's opinion/advice.
