It just sounds weird to me. It's a wonderful historical and metropolitan city, no doubt. But for a honeymoon won't a couple want to escape to some place serene and natural, like the North of Pakistan? Or may be they want the 'real' city experience; bed-n-breakfast, dining out, socializing etal, and of course, traffic and honking. may be for me it's like; Ghar ki Murghi Daal Brabar.

جوزف: بہت اچھے یار۔ مبارک ہو۔ یہ بتاؤ کہ ویزہ پراسیس میں کتنا وقت لگا ؟

مارک : بس کچھ مت پوچھو یار۔ تقریباً مہینہ بھر لگ گیا۔ پہلی بار جب میں پاکستان ایمبیسی گیا تھا تو صبح 4:30 پر وہاں پہنچا۔ پھر بھی مجھ سےپہلے 10 لوگ کھڑے تھے۔ لمبی قطار۔ اور ہاں مجھ سے کچھ آگے بل گیٹ بھی اپنا پاسپورٹ اور بنک سٹیٹمنٹ ہاتھ میں لیا لائن میں کھڑا تھا۔

جوزف : اچھا۔ بل گیٹ کو ویزہ مل گیا ۔

مارک : نہیں۔ انہوں*نے خطرہ ظاہر کیا ہے کہ بل گیٹ پاکستان جانے کے بعد وہاں سلپ ہوجائے گا اور امریکہ واپس نہیں آئے گا۔

جوزف : یار ۔ پاکستانی ایمبیسی کو ایسا نہیں کرنا چاہیئے۔ اسلام آباد میں ہماری امریکن ایمبیسی تو پاکستانیوں کو ایک گھنٹے میں ویزہ دے دیتی ہے۔ پھر یہ کیوں*ایسا کرتے ہیں ؟

مارک : ارے یار ۔ تمھیں تو پتہ ہے پاکستان اس وقت دنیا کی سپر پاور ہے۔ اسکا ویزہ لینا گویا مریخ کا ویزہ لینے کے برابر ہے۔ اور پھر قصور ہمارا امریکیوں کا بھی ہے۔ ہم بھی وہاں وزٹ ویزہ پر جاکر واپس نہیں آتے نا۔

جوزف : اچھا یہ بتاؤ ۔ تمھیں ویزہ کیسے مل گیا ؟

مارک : میں نے وہاں کی مشہور فرم 'پھالیہ شوگر ملز لمٹیڈ' سے بزنس وزٹ کا انویٹیشن منگوایا تھا۔ بس اسی بنیاد پر کام بن گیا۔

جوزف : ایک بار پھر مبارک ہو۔ یہ بتاؤ کب جا رہے ہو پاکستان ؟

مارک : جیسے ہی ٹکٹ ملا۔ دراصل میں نے دنیا کی مشہور ترین اور اعلی کلاس کی ائیر لائن میں* ٹکٹ کے لیے درخواست دی ہے۔ میرا بچپن سے خواب تھا کہ کسی دن پاکستان انٹرنیشنل ایر لائنز PIA میں سفر کر سکوں۔ اگر ٹکٹ مل گیا تو میرا دیرینہ خواب پورا ہوجائے گا۔
جوزف : پاکستان میں کتنا عرصہ رکو گے ؟

مارک : کتنا عرصہ ؟ کیا مطلب ؟ مجھے کسی پاگل کتے نے کاٹا ہے جو پاکستان چھوڑ کر واپس امریکہ آنے کی سوچوں گا۔ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ میں نے انٹرنیٹ پر چیٹ کے ذریعے پاکستان کے دوسرے بڑے شہر لاہور کے مضافات میں ایک صحت افزا مقام 'کامونکی' کی ایک لڑکی سیٹ کر لی ہے۔ میں اس سے شادی کرکے گرین پاسپورٹ اپلائی کردوں گا اور وہیں سیٹ ہوجاؤں گا۔

مارک : ڈالرز ؟ وہاں کون پوچھتا ہے۔ تمھیں پتہ ہے ایک پاک-روپے کے مقابلے میں آجکل 210 ڈالرز بنتے ہیں۔ یعنی میری اگر وہاں 10 ہزار پاکستانی بھی تنخواہ نکل آئی تو امریکہ میں چند مہینوں میں لاکھوں پتی بن جاؤں گا۔

جوزف : میں نے سنا ہے پاکستان کا لائف سٹینڈرڈ بہت اعلی ہے۔

مارک : ہاں۔ ایسے ہی ہے۔ وہاں پر BMW لکژری کار 25 ہزار پاک روپے میں ، جبکہ مرسٹڈیز 32 ہزار میں مل جاتی ہے۔ لیکن مین تو سوزوکی یا چنگچی لوں گا۔ خالصتاً پاکستانی میڈ آٹوز ہیں۔ کچھ مہنگی ہیں لیکن بہت اعلی کلاس کی ہیں۔
البتہ کراچی میں فلیٹ بہت مہنگے ہیں۔ اور کوئی بھی بلڈنگ 100 فلور سے کم تو ہے ہی نہیں۔ انسان ہر وقت خود کو فضاؤں میں اڑتا محسوس کرتا ہے۔

جوزف : اچھا یہ بتاؤ کہ وہاں کام کیا کرو گے۔

مارک : میں نے معلومات کی ہیں۔ وہاں پر آئی-ٹی میں بہت سکوپ ہے۔ لیکن تم تو جانتے ہو وہ ہمارے ملک کے تعلیمی معیار کو اپنے برابر نہیں سمجھتے اس لیے مجھے شروع میں وہاں کسی کسان کے ' گدھے' وغیرہ نہلانے پڑیں گے۔ یا پھر ہوسکتا ہے کسی مشہور پارک کے دروازے پر 'جوتے پالش ' کا کھوکھا ہی کھول لوں۔ کچھ نہ ہوا تو ٹیکسی کا لائسنس کرلوں گا۔ امریکہ سے تو پھر بھی کئی گنا بہتر کما لوں گا۔ اورہاں اگر میں وہاں کا گرین پاسپورٹ ہولڈر ہوگیا تو پھر ساری زندگی حکومت مجھے بےروزگاری الاؤنس اور میڈیکل سہولیات فری فراہم کرے گی۔ اور گرین پاسپورٹ کی بنا پر مجھے دنیا کے 80 فیصد ممالک میں بغیر ویزے کے وزٹ کرنے کی سہولت مل جائے گی۔

مارک : پاکستانی ایمبیسی میں ہمیشہ شلوار قمیض پہن کر جانا۔ وہ لوگ اپنے قومی لباس کو بہت اہمیت دیتے ہیں۔ اور کوشش کرنا کہ ویزہ کی درخواست انگریزی کی بجائے اردو میں پُر کرنا۔ اس سے بھی اچھا تاثر ملے گا۔
اور ایمبیسی میں داخل ہوتے ہی 'السلام علیکم ۔ جناب کیا حال ہے ؟' کہنا مت بھولنا۔
اس سے پتہ چلے گا کہ آپ کتنے مہذب ہو۔

I think you guys interpreted the 28 month different in a wrong manner, it is not how it works.

First think the 28 months is the Worst case scenario and it is only 10% cases explained below.

Let me explain you guys in a clear way.

CIC didn't yet provided the detailed figures since they updated the 80% figure to 28 months. The last complete data we got is till October 2012 so my explanation will be based on that data.

In the last 12 months the cases they precessed (gave visa PR) took in 80% of the cases 25 months or LESS the word less is very important. Because if you look at the excel file here is what in the titile :

X % of the cases were completed with in X month or LESS

So from September 2011 to October 2012 for Spouse and Partner cases processed by Islambad Office

80% or less of cases were completed in 25 months
70% or less of cases were completed in 22 months (which mean the only 10% took from 22 to 25 months)
50% or less of cases were completed in 19 months ( Which means only 20% took from 19 to 22 months)
30% or less of cases were completed in 16 months (Which means only 20% of cases took from 16 to 19months)
20% or less of cases were completed in 15 months (Which means only 10% of cases took from 15 to 16months and 20% took less then 15 months so it can be 1 month up to 15 months)

So please guys when you talk about time or when you contact the MPs don't get yourself fool by this 28 month figure only 10% of person are concerned by this time. And it is the worst case scenario and you should remind this to the MP.

I also analyzed the data of Application received and processed by Islamabad and I have very good news and feeling that in coming months the timlien will decrease by 30 to 40%

So it indicate that the backlog is been dealt and we will soon see the timeline go down I also think the cases from Ottawa will be transferred to Islamabad as they only received 68 cases and soon Islambad office will have no more file to work on.

I am having an issue of unable to comprehend our two tier Canadian immigration policy.
Two Tier system: Visitors visa in 40 days but Spousal visa could take 40 Months:
I would like to bring your attention to our immigration 2 tier system, while Canada is known to be quite a humanitarian country and accept number of refugees every year but at the same time its policy regarding spousal sponsorship from Pakistan is totally inhumane as to keep our loved ones far apart.
500,000 Visitors Visas issued in 6 months:
If Canada can Issue 500,000 visitors visas within the period of 6 months whenever it also require beck ground check and may even requires interview as well.
So why would interview for spouses take around two years from the time when application had been submitted.
Moreover spousal sponsorship includes marriage certificate translated in English and notarized, Police clearance certificate, medical certificate from designated doctor by Canadian embassy instruction, Wife name from maiden to married name & changing to new passport from maiden name to married name change process, and all the proof of wedding from marriage hall function with all the pictures and back of every picture write the name of all attendees and their relationship to sponsor and sponsored person, then for honeymoon trip tickets and receipts for hotels and restaurants and receipts of gifts purchase and write on the back of the pictures where have that picture taken and whoever is in that picture and the relationship to sponsor or sponsored and the date of every picture and also file sponsor T1 tax return from last 2 years and job or business papers with many other forms have to filled out before application is submitted (which may take few months to get all the papers ready). And yet it takes years to get the visa whenever student visa or visitors visa is given in couple of months.
Permanent resident visa for Pakistan:
India has more sham marriages but their timeline is only 6 months whenever Pakistan current timeline is 28 months & Some applicants are waiting for more than 3 years time.
If there was any issue regarding the safety or background check would be the same or even less dangerous situation for our spouses than to grant anyone who just want to visit Canada. So the reason for Canadian immigration to grant 500,000 visitors visas in 6 months is because those visitors will bring in money which is good for the economy but some how they just don't want our people to come and live here permanently.

Let me explain How do they screw up our files

I don't think they read our files but rather check the weight and then decide if any contents or material is missing: So here is what we discuss on the forum what are the things missing whenever those items have already been submitted.
1: You are required to submit certain forms which have been already submitted.
2: You have not paid the landing fee whenever it had been paid.
3: You have to get your remedical done before this date but they will post that letter after the date already passed.
4: Send your wedding pictures or honeymoon pictures whenever they have all of those in the file.
5: we sent you such letter which they never sent.
on & on & on there are so many of those stories to tell our friends relatives and our children that how Chc had been treating our people.

what is your explanation about my case?....34 months so far...smooth case, Nikha, wedding party, spouse visiting......no problem in the case, husband case, interview waived, 3 times medical.....now pp with CHC since DEC no news....

OMG You are waiting for so long May God help you. I thought I was waiting for longer time but now we know how chc screw up our files & there is no system in place it's a total chaos. I wish they had some system to follow, then it wouldn't be as bad.
