Hey WES786!! Long time ... My hubbys interview was in November 2012, he passed and the VO took his passport from him.

It has been exactly 69 days and he did not get his passport back yet!! It is extremely ridiculous & absurd.

I do not know why they are taking this long only to send out the stamped passport.

How are you and your wife doing?
Dear jania i think they are performing your husban background checks.
In some cases background check perform before ppr
Soo wait some more time you know background check takes 1-3 months
I hope you wil got visa soon .....

Yes this is so true as the Visa Officer said to my husband it could take 6 to 9 months while they do background check, and this was in January. So this is why I'm returning to Canada in case CSIS wants to interview me in any way. In Sha Allah....

So please keep us in your prayers as I will be leaving Pakistan next Friday In Sha Allah

No, the background checks were complete, the visa officer told us they have done it and no need to do this again.
Our visa officer also has our re-medical results and no need to re-do this either.
We are not going to get the PPR, my husband filled out the PPR on the day of his interview, interview was passed as per our visa officer.
The visa officer took my husbands passport from him on the interview day in November 2012.
Now, we are just waiting for CHC ISB to return my husbands passport with the visa on it.

Think about it ... by going it gives me 1) opportunity to see my hubby and 2) would show the embassy that since we found out about the interview it gave me a shot to not only accompany him but to also visit the family.

Wouldn't that play a bonus role in the eyes of the VO

If anything happens and they for some reason refuse ... i will have to go through so much headache for what another 2 years??? When i will rack my brain thinking "what if i went" ...

At least this way i don't have any regrets.

Any thoughts?

hey goppy this is what i mean ... i don't want to take any risk.

Worst case scenario is they don't see me BUT they will still know i am there and if nothing else i still got to visit my hubby and his family.

I actually don't know the reason for the interview ... can their be more than 1 reason???

Don't people have the right to ask one another and get advice from people who are in the same boat as each other????

You're comment makes absolute NO SENSE

1)Well seeing your husband is a nice thing for sure. If you can afford then you should.

2)They don't care if sponsor is already present they might not let you come in CHC when I was at CHC this one lady told me that his husband is waiting outside now I am not sure if he even tried to come inside. They mostly ask questions from sponsored person and concentrate on proof you carry. so far Jaania is the only sponsor who had phone interview.

so its your choice if you still think it would be a good idea to come then you should otherwise your husband should gather several proof and make sure hes confident.

I think I am the oldest member on this forum and speaking from 3 + years of experience in Spousal Sponsorship my advice would be correct.

I helped a lot of members on this forum too, plus point for me is that my best friend worked at CHC ISB as a officer a couple of years back.

If your husband can afford the trip & not jeopardize his job then he can be there with you but it does not make a difference at all.

They write that in the letter in case your spouse is already in Pakistan, your spouse just has to be able to be reached in case they decide to call.

Normally, they do not call. In my case, the visa officer decided to call me to cross reference information and clarify a few things.

Do not compare your case with anyone all cases are handled individually and differently depending on the officer.

At the end it is your choice.
