I think those of us whose spouses have their occupation listed in Federal Skilled Class should make an independent application of their own because with the new list its only 28 occupations left and the processing time from London (for pakistani applicants) is 12 to 14 months. at least they cant bulllllllshiiiiit around the application by saying whatever they want, they have to give points based on education, experience, age and language. I actually checked with the law firm which owns this website canadavisa.com and they said at least 40% of their applicants have applied in more than one category to run a race against time and new list updated on July 01 2011 for federal skilled workers has objective to be processed in 6-12 months ...... I also called CIC call Centre in Canada and they said no harm in applying if you wish to ............ .............. and in my opinion they cant say that the applicant is desperate to get into Canada because the spouse did not apply for Federal Skilled worker class until he/she got married ......... what do u think folks?

Hello friends,

Hope everyone is doing good. I require your help on an urgent basis. I am filling in the IMM8 forms and I was a bit confused in relation to certain information if it is required or not. For instance, where details of family members are required on page 2, it warrants for information about my spouse but does not make any mention of my parents and siblings. So;

1) Is information about my parents and siblings really required?
2) My spouse is currently in Canada, do I have to mention her at all because of course she won't be accompanying me to Canada, she's already there?
3) Lastly, there is a space reserved on the form for pictures of each of the family members. How many photos are required altogether for each of the family members including myself, and what are the specifications?

Also, if possible please forward me the link for guidance notes.

Your family only include yourself, your spuse and kids (Yours/legitimate).

Mom, Dad, Sisters, Brothers, Fellas, Mates, Yaar, Dost, Mata, Pita, Dada ji, Dadi ji, Nana, Nani, Taya, Chacha, Mami, Mama are not included in yoru family

so if you dont have any kid, and your sponsor (Wife/Hubby) already a canadian citizen, Leave the imm008-e Second page blank, and just write (NOT APPLICABLE) after the question on top and clip your pen back.

Another quick question! Where photos are required, will I have to ask my wife to send me hers from Canada or is there another way around it like attaching scanned photos or somethin of that sort?

Why do you need your wife snaps? did they asked?

They'll only ask you, the principle applicant, for i guess 6 passport sized photographs (specs are in the guide) or if you dont have guide, here is the measurement.. 45mm by 35mm

Tell you what. Knowing your time line, Here is a list of things i do...

1- Wait for acknowledgment letter along with some stupid form (Which you can not fill and print, Imagine the agony of 21st century's human being), Fill em, Send em.

2- Forget about your application for at least 11-12 months.
3- Buy an I-Pod, Listen to distressing melodies, and try to kill that time
4- If not, you are most welcome to bash CHC here during that time, Hopefully “Someone” will not notice. Unlike my case
5- Heard there are a lot of good movies going to be out in few months, get your torrent active and go blow the internet
6- On month 11, that imbecile designated Visa Officer will come back from the dead and will write you a letter asking for same stupid form(s) along with Police clearance certificate (Suggestion, Buy a pair of Nike, will help preventing your toes from busting while back-n-forth visit to police stations.
7- Submission of those forms may cause extreme anxiety, since you really want to telly your information to that on your application you've submitted, but lost the copy and so, thinking the nuts of your brain may help getting the dates and names right.
8- after 20-25 working days of submission, a re-medical request from the same imaginary visa officer.
9- and its getting so Darn depressing for me to explain further that I have decided to give up. Otherwise I may find another email with “Red Tape” this time, in my inbox.

Thanks for your input. However as Khalifa has indicated they require 9 pictures now. Do I have to get these photos taken again and take them along to the interview? The interview letter doesn't make any mention of the photos, although there are spaces reserved on the form for these photos.

i dont think u need get them again go to photographer ask him to just make u 3 extras and u dont need pics for ur spouse JUST YOU and put in seprate envolpe then staple them to IMM 0008

do have instruction guide it comes with package plus theres 2 packages 1:application process 2: package is region (pakistan) tell ur spouse to order them for u

just go google and typr citizen and canadian immgration under
1. immigrate to canada
2. sponsor spouse
3.instructions to sponsor

As I said earlier, If I was in your shoes, I wouldn't apply in the skilled class if there is already an application in the family class. My reason being that CIC would suspect that my wife is trying really hard to immigrate to Canada and this could be the reason we had a marriage and thus the sponsorship. You know because of some bad apples we have a bad reputation, so they would suspect that my wife is comitting a fraud and our marriage is not genuine. They can send an objection letter, ask for more proofs and screw you over if they feel like it. They have now more power and authority than ever before. Therefore, I wouldn't think it would be a good idea for her to apply under the skilled class.

I am heading to Pakistan next July Inshallah so i am planning to send pcc, phone logs and medical instead of them requesting it

medical expire DECMBER 20 2011 (hard to obtain travel to lahore or islamabad 6 hour travel back and forth)
pcc will expire July 26 before my case even reaches CHC Islamabad (Easy to Obtain) in 5 minutes

Guys a good IDEA or no

You cannot send medical voluntarily...You will need the request letter+old certificate they send with the request which you have to take to the doctor at the time of remedical.
