Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Dear Asivad , DelPiero, StanLee,

I received ITA on March 1st. I had claimed work experience in 3 jobs in 2 different NOCs.

After trying to get experience letters, I was notified by my previous employer that they can issue me an experience letter for half of the duration only under the one of the NOCs as my title changed in between . (from call center agent to supervisor & then degraded to call center)

My question is : to qualify for 3 years of experience and claim points, can I modify my application for that NOC and put in 8 months (is it acceptable to put work experience that is complete full year ).

To sum it up :
Job 1: 1 year and 6 months
Job 2: 1 year and 5 months
Job 3: Modify previous 3 years to be only 8 months.

NOC would not change. Only work experience duration.

Thank you in advance.

Your CRS wouldn't change but if you're a FSW applicant you have to make sure you are still above 67/100 points after the change.

Thank you for the prompt reply DelPiero07.

I doubt it will change as the cumulative work experience duration is 3+ years.

Sorry for the dumb questions but is does CIC have a FSW matrix calculator? or is there a definitive tool which i can use to confirm and ease my doubts ?

Thanks again.

There is indeed a drop in points from 6 years to 3 years in the factors for calculating FSW eligibility.

Nope... the FSW depends on the six factors (67/100) as well as CRS. There is a CRS calculator, but no six factors calculator I'm afraid... you'll need to do it by hand!

Thank you both for answering.

Can I use this to check my eligibilty for FSW selection criteria ?

I suppose you could, but if you're only interested in FSW then go straight to the source - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Yeah i guess that is my best guide to FSW eligibility.

I calculated all, i only have an issue with how to calculate language scores. My IELTS results are :

Reading 8
Listening 8
Speaking 7.5
Writing 7.5

So that means i am CLB 10 in all except listening. But my question is : how points do I get for language ? 28 ?

I am sorry I don't want to hijack this thread, but I have a relevant question.

If someone has worked 5 Years of FULL TIME job; where Full time is 40 Hours Per week, would it then be considered as approximately 6 years of experience, since CIC considers 30 Hrs/Week as a full time?

No.

It's 30 hours a week AND 12 months. It's 5 years.

So If I was working 40 hours a week (confirmed by my employer) for 5 years, my experience will still be counted as 5 Years??
Even though I was working additional 10 hours/week as per cic requirement !

Correct. You could work 70 hours a week for 23 months,it would still count as only 1 year.

Yes, it is still 5 years.

You are only thinking of the hours you worked but you ALSO have to work for a period of 6 years in order to claim 6 years of work experience.
