I have received my passport with PR visa. I look forward to landing within a few days.
My mother does not stay with me. I want her to come to Canada and stay for a while (not permanently). The problem is in all her documents her name is spelled a little differently than that in my passport. It is not possible for her to change name in her documents as there are more than one documents. So I am thinking I would correct the name in my passport (though my other documents such as birth certificate and academic certificates carry the same name as that in my passport now).
My passport is also going to expire. So I want to request for a new passport with the change in my mother's name. What would be the consequence?
Any other advice on this? I would really appreciate.
