Changing degree to diploma

Hey, I've been studying for a degree in Canada for about 3yrs now and I've learnt that I can graduate early with a diploma and then apply for a work permit while I continue studying for the degree. Is this advisable or should I just finish the degree?

If you graduate early and get the diploma and then apply for a work permit, then you won't be able to continue your studies for the degree (because you will be changing your status to work permit and you can't study on a work permit). You have to pick between one or the other (i.e. continue the degree - or graduate early with the diploma and apply for the work permit earlier).

Okay, thanks for the reply. Will I be able to apply to finish the degree later on? I've also applied for a PR.

You can certainly finish the degree after you are a PR. Then you won't need a study permit.
