Hi all,

I just received my ITA. At the time of my profile creation, I was still residing in India so I put my country of residence as India. I will be moving to the US in the first week of October on the H-1B visa.

My question is: Can and should I change my country of residence to US now? In the application (post-ITA), I see that country of residence is just a text field that I can edit.

Background: I have been studying/working in the US since 2013, and moved back to India earlier this year to setup an office in Bangalore. I've paid taxes in the US since 2013.

Don't see why this would be an issue. Any changes post ITA are fine as long as they don't impact your CRS score to become under the cut-off.

I would personally explain what you just wrote here in the LOE, but that's just me.

Thanks, really appreciate your reply.

And you would be updating your India address to the of the states so that should be no problem at all.
