Hi All,

I tried searching for this kind of questions in the forum but couldnt find any answer so here i am posting my question.

I am from India and got my CSQ some time back. However I havent filed for fed yet and planning to do so very soon. I have job opportunity in US and I am willing to take it up.

Now my question is...will there be any issue if I change job and country after receiving the CSQ and before filing for Federal?

Look forward for your response and thanks a loooooot in advance

Cheers,

You can call the BIQ that issued you your CSQ. Anyways, the CSQ that they have given you have a specific visa office which would need to process your papers. Inform them and ask them specifically about your question.

Good luck!

Hi Sreddy,
In my personal opinion there should be no problem if u change country as CSQ is issued to you based on the rqrments in Quebec & your past/existing qualification and experience & further CSQ place no bond on your movement/future endeavors.

Concerning which visa office to send yr Fed part of application to-->It should be where you live at the time you launch yr application, so it might be USA.

To confirm it more, better you send an email to concerned BIQ and you will get a convincing reply.

Good luck!

Baiyang

Further....
On CSQ the visa office name is mentioned (in yr case it might be mentioned New Delhi/India) but still it is ok if u send yr federal part to yr current country of residence other than India.

Hi Baiyang,

Thanks a lot for your replies. I was going through the Fed application details. It appears that people with CSQ should send their Fed applications to CIO in Canada and not to the local embassy. Earlier it said applications should be send local Canadian embassy. Not sure which one is trued. If it is Centralized Intake Office in Canada, then i think changing country shouldnt be a problem.

This is new rule so u have to send your application to CIO instead of your local visa office.

Although you now send your application to CIO rather than local office, on the PR application form you need to specify the office that serves your country of residence or origin.

If I understand correctly, the CIO would check if your application is complete and eventually send it to the office you indicate in your application (i.e. your local visa office)

As in the above case you are changing your country of residence, so the question still remains the same - can a different office be indicated in the application (other then the one specified on the CSQ)? so if the CSQ states New Delhi and you indicate your local office as BVC Buffalo is that going to be ok?

I am concerned as they keep mentioning in their notes that if your conditions have changed you need to be re-evaluated for CSQ as per your new circumstances such as M status but I am not sure about Job and or country. Just ensure that you do the right thing after all the hard work thus far in your immigration process.
