Changing Colleges (DLI) after arriving in Canada

Hi Guys,

One of my friend wants to change his college from Lakehead University to Humber College, for Sep 2017 intake.

He has received letter of acceptance from Humber.

However, I'm hearing rumours that CIC is not letting students change their institutions anymore? Anyone who have just recently got it done?

Changing DLI is not a problem, but your course level should be same. For example, if you got visa with post grad diploma and want to change DLI, you should opt for a post grad diploma, in your new college/university.
