True, got the impression they are not aware how the present Express Entry system work.

You do not get a student visa like that, there is rejection rate. You need to get accepted in a designated learning institution, showing tie that you intend to return in your country after studies...Most of the mature applicants for a student visa (those professionals/degree holders working in their countries) got rejected if they enrolled in course not related to their occupation and inferior to their level of study.

I am never vocal on this platform. But, every day there is some or other thread initiated for international students. Totally agree with their view point. But, everyday repetition of the same thing will not make a difference. Govnt will do what they have to do.

They already have, it's just the wait game about when to announce. Canadian Gov., unlike other country, acts quickly upon any new changes. They plan and keep everything on stand by before they announce.

none of them are able to answer how will you differentiate between a good ranked university graduate vs moderate ranked university. Same for the diploma. Those international students (not worth), who does not get anything...they will still argue and protest because of their investments....

Graduate from a high ranked uni doesn't mean anything if you cannot land a job.

Award more points for Canadian degrees, even more points for annual income, who pay the most taxes to Canada in the longest possible time will get the PR, now everyone can sh*t up.

So why pay these fees in Canada. Cant they study in their country of origin with low fees. Who told them to study in Canada? If their motive is that they get quality education and with canadian education they will excel with it anywhere in the world than they have to pay the fees and they are paying it rightly. But just because to become a PR then it is buying because you are not interested in education and just want PR.

The fact is that those who land a job can get ITA easily.

The issue is for those fresh graduates/professionals in NOC A field who are not even eligible to apply as many of those jobs are reserved for Canadian/PR citizens.

The government wants to change that in order to allow them to gain ITA easily and to start their career by giving more points.

It's about money true, but even more then that it's about future of Country. Avg. age in Canada is 56 which way higher. Reproduction rate is slow and people live long life in this country because of free and high standard of medical, big percent of population are retired and living on Gov. money to sustain the balance Canada needs fresh Blood and only way to get that is to attract young talented students and make them stay in Country. That's One of the biggest reason Gov. trying to do everything to attract people in age bracket of 18-30, and making sure student because of express entry don't have to leave because they can't compete with person with 10-12 years of work experience.

International pay more than domestics and canada wants their money, may sound like scam to you but for canada is more like a bussiness,answer is: they will do ANYTHING to keep it that way and granting a PR after graduation is the best way to keep those internationals tuitions coming. Every one is making their own assumptions bases on their wish list. International students want way more points, FSW see this as its unfair. Guys this is not a decision we are making ourselves, stop arguing and fighting for a decision already made by someone else.

International students are huge investment for Canada (over $11.5 B a year), they want more, they will help them to become PR to attract more coming in the next years. How many points more?? WE DONT KNOW YET!! who will be granted these points? WE DONT KNOW YET!! I dont think all international students will be granted the same points, as it wont make any sense!!!

For FSW: You will always have the chance to apply and get the PR, maybe the new changes will only favor some categories, maybe FSW wont be one of them, BUT FSW are always needed.

You will get the PR, when its time for you to get it, always be prepared, instead of just make assumptions and pissing everyone off!!

Yes education is a big business.

And there are lot of post gradual programms made exactly for those mature applicants (all business MBA work like that to begin with). No, it is not very hard to find a willing school to accept you if you have Money and you are somewhat intelligent.

There is no difference to work hard for your credential in your country and working for it in Canada (the only possible difference is that English or French might not be your native language).
There are good and poor institutions (however what is good or poor is to be discussed).
And there are also good and not that good students. Paying somebody to get your written thesis done is nothing new in this business. There were even cases when somebody was sitting written exam instead of somebody else.
And yes same cases you can find all over world.

Buying PR with paying for some education programm is what was happening under old system.

The basic problem here is, that Canada graduates going after PR and other FWS are in the same category unlike PNP, who has its own quota (yes some of them pass through EE, but the quota is still limited there, so it cannot come to the moment where EE is just overcrowded and filled with PNP).

Because they expect you not to remain illegally in the country after your visa expired. However, you have the right to ask PR in the country if your visa is still valid or even upon return in your home country.
