Hi so for immigration documents does anyone have the 3.

Record of landing

confirmation of PR

PR card

I only have the last two. What does a record of landing look like?

But we can hope man. I don't think one year is a big difference for security. The Somali guy entered Canada in late 2012 so he would not even need a police certificate if he applies now or when he applied under the c24 bill.
People also hoped the application fee would be reduced, there would be some queuing system to prioritize people who stayed longer ... none of those were part of C6 and none were announced as changes to be made. This PC would most likely be no exception

The landing paper that you gave the officer to sign when you landed - isn’t it the same as confirmation of PR?

1. You would only have a record of landing (IMM 1000) if you landed prior to July 2002, then you wouldn't have a COPR>

Yes it is the same i was wondering if anyone had the 3. Or record of landing but some one has explained that it is if you landed before 2002. Then you will have ROl

Ok makes more sense now. Thank you.

Dear members, hope you’re doing well!

Just have a question about required documents, considering this sentence:

“Provide photocopies of the biographical pages of all passports and/or travel documents (valid and cancelled) for the six (6) year period immediately before the date of your application, or since you became a permanent resident, whichever is more recent.

Also, provide photocopies of any renewal pages of the passport(s)/travel document(s). “

I gonna send my application on Oct. 12. I landed on February 2014 and after this date till present held only one passport (the same that I entered with) that is still valid and will be expired on April 2018.

I’m wondering if I’m required to send the photocopy of my previous passport?

Need to wait till the new forms are released. It's not confirmed whether IRCC would want all documentation for the past 5 years (given they allow pre-PR credit), or only from the time one became PR for those that don't need pre-PR credit to satisfy 3/5 year requirement.

Be prepared to provide copies of passports valid in the last 5 years though. I'm doing the same.

Thank you for your reponse.
I have the photocopy of my previous passport (as I keep an scanned copy of every document in my computer), but unfortunately I have lost its original, would it be an issue ?

One more question:
In the application - there's a need to provide two pieces of ID. We are already sending PR card and Passport photocopies - Should I add another (e.g. driver's license) just in case?

Cheers

If it's required as per the new forms, then it could be an issue during the interview which takes place right after you take the citizenship test (same day). The IO will go through all original documentation, especially passports. There is a text box on the form to explain that you lost the original. But I'm not qualified to answer what the IO will do.

4. Two (2) pieces of personal identification
Both pieces of identification should show your name and date of birth, one of which must have your photo on it.

Examples include:

  • a Canadian driver’s licence
  • a Canadian health insurance card
  • a copy of the biographical page of your passport/travel document, etc.
If there is information on both sides of your personal identification documents, provide a photocopy of both sides.

Note: Social Insurance Number (SIN) cards, bank cards and credit cards are not acceptable pieces of identification.

Hi I have a question regarding tax information- do we need to submit any Option C's even if we are giving consent to IRCC to contact CRA for tax info of last 6 years?
