Hi,
I have a question and would greatly appreciate your help.

I am sending a invitation letter for parents with my current address in Toronto. However, I intend to move to a different address in Toronto after 2 months. My parents would stay with me at my new address.

As I don't know my new address yet , can I send invitation letter with my current address ?
As my parents will get visa soon, Do I need to inform the visa office after few months that my parents will be staying in a new address with me ?

Any experiences ?

Thanks

Yes, you can.

No, you don't need to inform IRCC about your new address after your parents get decisions.

It is necessary to inform IRCC - through a web form - if there are changes in the address (host or applicant) when an application is still being processed

Hi Bryanna

Do bank statements need to be signed and stamped? Or can we submit a online version of the bank statement.

Also for a residential address, can it be a friend or relative address? Would it be misrepresentation if the applicant is not living permanently in the residential address listed but only as temporarily at the time of submission?

Thank You

There's no written rule for this. That said, online bank statements printed off in Canada/US/Europe/some Asian countries will be accepted.... whereas for bank statements from the Indian sub-continent, it is best to have the bank to print the statement on the bank business stationery, signed and stamped, to prove it is genuine.

An applicant can give a temporary residence address such as that of a friend or relative. The situation is similar to an applicant applying as a visitor in another country (not his/her home country or country of residence). No, it will not be misrepresentation

Hi Bryanna,

Need some more guidance.

I have signed lease for new place and will move on April 1. Now I know my address.

Can I still send invitation letter with my present address as I have a valid address proof in form DL.But for new address I have only lease .

Will appreciate your input on this.

Your invitation letter should mention both addresses + date when you will move to your new address. That would suffice

@Bryanna

Can I attach bank statements from a business account instead of using a personal account?

If yes how can I show the business account is for the principal applicant as it's shows the name of a business? And the business is sold as well.

Yes, you can..... but, do keep in mind that normally, business funds are not used for private visits even if the business is owned by just one person + as the balance in a business bank account includes business expenses, the entire amount cannot be "available" for a private visit
