Hi Guys,

I need some help as I've unable to find answers anywhere else. I applied for the PR earlier this year from my homecountry in Pakistan. Eventually while the process was going I got a job offer from a firm in Dubai and moved there. I informed the authorities about my change in address and was able to submit my Passport in Dubai for the PPR.

However when I got my documents it mentioned country of residence as Pakistan, not the UAE. This is potentially a problem since I have a UAE work visa. What can I do about this and is there anyone i need to inform?

Regards,
Taimour Khan.

You mean on COPR your address is Pakistan? If so its fine. I had the opposite problem, got them to issue me a revised PPR letter which contained my Pakistan address but in COPR my residence was mentioned as UAE. I confirmed with some experts, they told me its fine and there's nothing to worry about

Yes COPR. I hope what you say is true. Did you make your entry in Canada yet? My concern is I have a UAE residence visa on my passport so I don't know what I should say if it comes up.

I have that visa too, I don't think it matters.
