Change of name process

I recently changed my name and I'm looking to update my information for my CEC application as well as work permits (a Bridging Work Permit as well as a closed permit).

I'm trying to find information on how to do this and I'm kinda going in circles. Has anyone done this before who can point me in the right direction for these? I have info on changing details for the CEC application so I roughly know what I'm doing there, but for the work permits I'm unsure.

Hi Littlemackay,

As far as I know, you don't need to change the name in the work permit till the next extension. Get it changed in the SIN card/Health Card.

My wife's name was changed after marriage and they told you can use the same work permit.

Not sure about the WP but CIC i would shoot an email explaining the change and a scan of the document of name change.
