Change of Company Name - EE Profile Update

Hi,

My organization has changed its name from "XYZ Services" to "XYZ Solutions" with effect from 1-Dec-2016. Reference letter which I will be receiving will mention new name along with note at the bottom mentioning details of name change.

In my Express Entry Profile, should I create a separate row for my experience after 1-Dec with New name or should I just change name in original row?

Please note that I am promoted multiple times within same organization & have separate row for each designation. If I just change name of organization for my current designation, should I keep earlier company name in previous designation rows or new one?

You can just update the name of the organisation in all the entries.

Thanks Stanlee! Looks logical as I will be getting 1 letter for entire duration & it will have new company name. However, my worry is that CIC should not say that name of company at the time of previous designation was different & I should have filled that.

Not sure if it really is such a big issue or am I taking too seriously.

Am in the same situation. Have an old offer letter from old name and all the new letters are with the new name.

Am planning to attach a LOE saying: Am an employee of XYZ Ltd formerly ABC Ltd since DD-MMM-YYYY

attach an LOE or if possible get company's name change certificate. They will be having an official certificate (registration certificate) for name change.
In LOE you can give proof like
1. same address
2. same website (URL)

Yes, that letter is available online & I will be sending it along with LOE.

So, you guys also suggest that I should name of Company for all the rows i.e. For all the designations (even previous ones) in same organization?

No need to update the information if the letter makes mention of the previous name. I had the same with one of my reference letter and I didn't have any issues.
