Hi everyone, inland common-law sponsorship applicant here.
Timeline:
App sent with Open Work Permit App included: Dec 22nd 2017
App Received: Dec 27th
AOR and Schedule A request: Feb 12th 2018
Schedule A sent: March 15th
I'm currently in the last month of the four-month deadline to receive my Open Work Permit. However I have just moved apartments. I have changed my address on the CIC website using this link: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/introduction.do?app=coa - using my UCI number to identify my application. And have also forwarded my mail to my new address.
My question is, will this change of address be effective accross both my main application AND my OWP application? A poster from another website suggested that, as these are seperate applications, I must change the address for both of them seperately. However, when trying to repeat the process using my OWP application number, it says it cannot identify me.
I was also told that mail from CIC comes with a DO NOT FORWARD notice on the envelope, what will happen if they try to deliver to my forwarded address, will Canada post return to sender or just deliver it anyway?
