Dear friends, My dad and mom got a visit visa to canada. Initially they were planing to leave for canada one month after stamping of visa. But now due to some unavoidable circumstances they have to postpone their departure for three months therefore could someone please advice that can they leave for Canada 3 or 4 months after the date of stamping as the visa is valid for 6 months or do they have to take permission from the Canadian visa office if they are leaving after 3-4 months of stamping? if yes then who they have to write to? Please help.

1. They just have to enter Canada before their TRV expires. So it has a 6 months validity, they should be fine.
2. No, they don't have to contact anyone.

Thank you PMM for a prompt reply. This doubt had occoured in my mind as some one mentioned to me that one has to leave with in 3 months of the date of stamping. I am sure this information will help all those in such a situation. Thanks once again PMM.

I second PMM on that, it is written on CIC website to enter Canada before expiration of your visa and officer at border of entry will grant you further stay depending on your circumstances.
