Ottawa to change immigration age of dependent children.

I think this is a good step by the government in Ottawa and it will definitely generate some more employment opportunities for the children.

Not really a good move i think !

I do not understand, how is this going to generate more employment opportunities for children?

Ottawa is tightening up immigration rules, this is one way they can be selective on the type of immigrants they let in. If the dependent comes to study in Canada they will have to pay extra fees for their studies (foreign student). Where at the moment dependents when they arrive, pay the same fees as Canadian students.
It will make potential immigrants think twice about applying to immigrate to Canada, as their dependents will have to make their own way to Canada. There is no guarantee that the dependents will be successful.
