CETA entry for Independent Professional

I have received an A number and contract as an Independent Professional. Does anybody know if I can enter Canada now on this type of work visa? Has anybody experienced any problems at immigration?

What do you mean by "a number"? What kind of work permit is it? Generally speaking you need a job offer and approved LMIA before you can apply for a work permit. Work permits applications aren't being processed at the border at this time so you need to apply for the work permit online and get the work permit approved before you travel to Canada. You'll want to make sure this isn't a scam.

Sorry - I missed the subject and see now that you fall under CETA.

You need to apply for a work permit online from your home country and need to wait for that work permit to be approved before you can travel to Canada.
