Certified Job Offer

Hi Guys,

I already have a Certified Job Offer from my employer in Canada. I've been working with his company almost a year now as Independent Contractor here in Philippines.

I have almost completed my requirement for Visa application.

However, Does it necessary for me to take IELTS?

Please advice.

if english is not your 1st language and you were not born in an english speaking country you have to take the IELTS or they will return your application.

You may attempt to estimate your points for English and French knowledge and send supporting documents why you should not have to take the IELTS or TEF but they may still ask for them anyway. From what I've heard, if English is not your mother tongue, they will almost always ask you to take the IELTS to prove your points.

Taking the IELTS before you apply is better because then you will know exactly how many points you get and will not end up in a situation of having over-estimated your language points and ending up with too few points overall.
