Probably most of you learned this before I did, but I just found out that Service Canada has "commissioners of oaths" who will make certified copies - for free. Don't know if this is true of all Service Canada locations, but it is certainly worth asking. I had to make my own photocopies and bring them along with the originals.

OK, I did have to wait an hour, but it beats the heck out of paying a lawyer $40 CAD per copy.

Good question... in the CEC instruction guide, it looks like the only copies that need to be certified are those that have been translated...

In the FSW instruction guide (I started on that, then switched to CEC), all copies must be certified.

So... it's a bit baffling to me, because I can't imagine why it would be required for one program but not the other. Since half of my copies were already certified, I did the rest...

Anyone else? Seems I recall others on this forum saying that copies did not need to be certified for CEC...
