My wife came to Canada on multiple entry visitor visa.
As a general rule, her stay was valid for first six months.
After she came here I applied for:
1. 'Spousal sponsorship application' to sponsor her in Canada.
2. Visitor Visa Extension
Note : She was still under 6 months of stay limit of her visitor visa.
Present Situation :
1.
CIC returned the SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP as we did not submit her "Birth Certificate".
We used her MATRIC/ Grade 10 Certificate as birth certificate, which was not accepted by CIC.
CIC has returned the application and has asked to re-submit.
2.
Visitor Visa Extension is still under processing.
Expected processing time : Another 60 days approx.
3.
Visitor Visa stay for 6 months is expired.

My question to the forum :--
1. If the "Certificate of date of birth" from Indian Consulate acceptable by CIC in place of "Birth Certificate" ?
2.Will it be OK for her to stay in Canada , since the extension for Visitor Visa is still under
process ? Meanwhile, we will try to re submit the Spousal Sponsorship application asap

Thank you everyone for your help.
