This isn't quite a 'immigration' question, but am hoping perhaps in family class someone else might have an answer.

We requested and rcv'd today my husbands long form certified copy of his birth certificate. All he had was that credit card/short form one.

Anyhow, we have 3 year old twins - and both will need to be filed for. BUT we only got one copy of the certificate. :(
I realized last night -odd it'd arrive today - that we might not be able to send them together in the same envelope.

Thoughts?

Send the applications together in the same envelope. Write a note and put it on top of both applications. I think that they will be able to figure it out. Also, call or email the consulate. Detroit was SUPER helpful. They responded to me very quickly and by telephone.

Incidentally, I had my mum order two long term certificates for me just because I was afraid one would be off in the mail and I would need the other one - they were almost $50 a piece! OMG

Let me know how it goes...

I am thinking it'll be OK - to send them together with a note/letter. They'll be paid for at the same time... so may even have the same # (we haven't paid anything yet, so not sure how it works).

My hubbies was $35 for one copy. :(

I found this in the guide today as I was finalizing their applications.

>>If you are sending more than one application (for example, applications for family members), you may send one receipt to cover all applications. Mail the receipt (if applicable) and all applications together in one envelope so that they will be processed together.

So I am guessing (even more) it'll be just fine.
